We are the Insights and Decision Science Chapter within the Centre of Excellence (COE) responsible for CommSec’s Insights and Analytics functions. We support the strategic decision-making process of the business by way of regular reporting, campaign marketing and remediation analytics. We are also responsible for providing integrated online and offline behavioural insights, building analytics frameworks that help assess and drive customer engagement and building advanced analytics solutions and tools to help CommSec optimise its resources, improve its processes and minimise risk.

In this role

You are responsible for performing data analysis to support data remediations for CommSec in relation to Financial Crime incidents, and support the business stakeholders with ad hoc data requests. You will be leveraging data to drive insights, improve processes, and support strategic decision-making within the organisation.

As Senior Data Analyst, you will be using your SQL and analytics skills to query the data warehouse and perform analysis using CommSec and Group data, and provide marketing and remediation campaign data, complete post campaign analysis and deep dives.

This role is a 12-month maximum term contract role.

Other responsibilities also include

• Perform analysis of CommSec data and systems to provide the business with crucial information to support Financial Crime remediation, including documentation of processes and controls.

• Using SQL/Alteryx – design, prepare and build dataset that delivers targeted customer details and key data points for campaigns including remediation and marketing programs.

• Complete relevant project work stream deliverables including quality control/sign off for area of accountability

• Perform detailed analysis of CommSec and Group data to provide the business with insightful information to make data-driven decisions

• Sound SQL Server experience and skills (preferably Microsoft SQL Server and/or Teradata)

• Significant data, information management and analytics experience   

• Be commercially astute, with strong analytical skills, attention to detail and demonstrated ability to work with large and complex data sets.

• Demonstrated delivery experience as performing analytical work in high complexity environment

• Strong communications skills with the ability to Influence, consult and build relationships with stakeholders
