Position Summary...

Demonstrates up-to-date expertise and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices; supporting and aligning efforts to meet customer and business needs; and building commitment for perspectives and rationales. Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities. Models compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by incorporating these into the development and implementation of business plans; using the Open Door Policy; and demonstrating and assisting others with how to apply these in executing business processes and practices.

Data Transformation and Integration:

• Harvest Data: Seamlessly extract datasets from pinpointed databases, architecting robust data pipelines to transmute raw data into actionable insights using cutting-edge methodologies.
• Dissect Complex Databases: Delve into intricate databases, scrutinizing data flows and dependencies, to architect sophisticated conceptual, physical, and logical data models.
• Streamline Data Flows: Engineer and optimize data flows for efficiency and reliability.
• Tackle Integration Hurdles: Analyze data-related system integration challenges and engineer innovative solutions to ensure seamless interoperability.

Data Analysis and Visualization:

• Leverage Analytical Tools: Tackle business challenges by harnessing SQL/NoSQL and Python for in-depth analysis, subsequently unveiling insights through Looker, Tableau, PowerBI or any BI reporting tools.
• Craft Compelling Visualizations: Design and develop sophisticated data visualizations and interactive dashboards to facilitate internal and external dissemination of business intelligence.
• Drive Actionable Insights: Ensure data-driven insights are not only relevant but also actionable, empowering stakeholders to make well-informed, practical decisions.

Collaboration:

• Team Mentorship: Mentor and develop team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
• Synergize with Cross-Functional Teams: Engage in collaborative efforts with fellow associates and coordinate with managers and specialists across various functions as required.
• Conduct Rigorous Code and Peer Reviews: Participate in meticulous code reviews and peer assessments to ensure quality and adherence to best practices.
• Deliver Insightful Presentations: Articulate findings to team members, business units, clients, and other stakeholders to garner valuable feedback and drive informed decisions.

Project Scope:

• Own projects end-to-end to support the business area or category, and own a defined part of a product.
• Ensure the product is working and functioning, and identify new information to feed back-up to product owner

What you'll bring…

• Extensive Experience: Over 6 years of experience in SQL, BigQuery (BQ), Looker, Power BI, Tableau.
• Technical Proficiency: Expertise in Hadoop, Hive, Spark, cloud environments, streaming technologies, and Kafka.
• Coding Skills: Proven coding proficiency in Python/Java, developing high-quality applications.
• Cloud Experience: Proficient with GCP and Azure, deploying and scaling cloud-based services.
• Data Modeling: Expertise in data modeling and migration protocols.
• Big Data Solutions: Extensive experience leveraging Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for scalable data warehousing.
• Adaptability: Skilled in architecting scalable Big Data solutions and ETL ecosystems. Adaptable to fast-paced, iterative development environments.
• Communication Skills: Strong communication skills and effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, both technical and non-technical.
