Job Description

Are you passionate about data governance and quality in a dynamic, high-tech environment? Join our team as a Data Quality & Governance Expert and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of data management in our Powertrain Solutions (PS) organization.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the technical implementation of the data governance framework, focusing on data quality, metadata management, and cataloging.
  • Define and establish data management standards tailored to Powertrain Solutions, addressing enterprise requirements, technology trends, economics, and business policies.
  • Design and implement cross-system concepts to safeguard data quality, developing robust processes and ensuring their sustainability.
  • Analyze and resolve complex data quality use cases across various domains, creating business and cleansing rules using advanced data quality solutions.
  • Define and track data quality KPIs, create dashboards, and ensure continuous monitoring and improvement.
  • Conduct data profiling and ensure effective metadata management to enhance the organization’s data governance capabilities.
  • Provide expert consultation to data stewards, business units, plants, and teams, guiding them in improving their data management practices.
  • Act as the go-to expert for data governance tools and processes within the Powertrain Solutions organization.

Qualifications

What Sets You Apart:

  • Education:
    • Master’s, diploma, or Ph.D. in Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • Proven expertise in data governance and quality, preferably within the automotive industry or similar sectors.
    • Hands-on experience with data quality tools, cataloging solutions, ETL, and data integration technologies.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Mandatory: proficiency in SQL, Python, data catalog, data quality systems, Azure environments.
    • Java, Databricks, Data Warehousing, MS-SQL Databases, and SaaS platforms (nice to have)
    • Familiarity with Power BI, SAP (optional) and AWS.
  • Personal Attributes:
    • Strong communication and coordination skills with a team-oriented and independent mindset.
    • Agile thinker with high levels of self-motivation and adaptability.
  • Languages:
    • Fluent in Portuguese and in English (written and spoken).
    • German skills are a plus.
