Please note that for this role, we are looking for someone who is already living in the Netherlands and has proficiency in English at a C1 level. Dutch is not required but is definitely a plus.

The energy transition needs you as a Python Developer

You will collaborate closely with fellow Python developers, receiving support from digital infrastructure experts, software architects and domain experts. Together, you’ll ensure that the applications are fully functional and adhere to our coding standards. These applications play a vital role in optimizing electricity grid usage, identifying anomalies, and proactively addressing them.

Our Grid Quality Management LV team (GQL) is a dynamic group consisting of developers, a dedicated Product Owner, and an Architect. Our mission focuses on developing solutions to process and analyze smart meter data in the low voltage network for risk assessment.

Our technology stack consists of: Python, Kubernetes, AWS, Kafka, Tekton, Elasticsearch, ArgoCD, Postgres and GitHub, enabling us to build robust and efficient solutions to meet the demands of a rapidly evolving energy landscape.

You energize our network

  • Completed Bachelor's in computer science, electrical engineering, or ony other related field;

  • Experience in software engineering, including design patterns, testing, and DevOps

  • Experienced in Python programming

  • 3+ years of working experience


Nice-to-Have:

  • Experience with event driven microservice architecture

  • Experience in dashboarding or front-end development

  • Knowledge of power system modeling, including power flow, short circuit analysis, and state estimation

  • Familiarity with statistical modeling and machine learning techniques

  • Knowledge of Scrum

Based on a 40-hour working week, you will receive:

  • a gross monthly salary of € 4.274 to € 6.106 (scale 9)

  • annually an Individual Choice Budget (IKB) of 18% (full time) or 12.8% (part time) of your gross annual salary. This includes 5.2% ADV (shorter working hours) and 8% holiday allowance. If you do not work full time, you are not entitled to ADV. You can have this budget paid out as extra salary or use it to purchase extra days off, for example. You choose the option that is right for you.

  • 24,5 days’ holiday (statutory + non-statutory). You can use your IKB to top this up to (full time) (part time).

  • an end-of-year bonus of 6% of your annual salary in December.

  • a pension with ABP, especially for the government and education sector. We will pay a 70% share of your pension contribution.

  • Work from wherever suits you best, as long as your role allows it. Whether from the office or your own home. A workation is even an option. If you work from home, you will receive a home office allowance.
