Job Description
Legal and General Investment Management’s Anaplan team are hiring for a new Financial Data Modeller to support the Financial Systems Development Manager in designing building and testing the current and new Anaplan Data Models.
The role will see you working as part of the Financial Planning and Analytics Function to support and plan LGIMs annual budget collaborating closely with internal financial experts and business leaders to adapt and update policy, provide monthly and quarterly forecasting and analysing channel profitability.
What you'll be doing:
- Contributing to all aspects of Anaplan development including requirements gathering, design and build, UAT, governance and documentation
- Maintaining and developing current Anaplan infrastructure. Configuring and maintaining Anaplan lists, modules, dashboards, actions, and other model settings to meet business needs and prototyping new ideas and functionality to enhance current Anaplan models
- Building and developing Anaplan models from scratch and modify existing models, extending proof of concept and translating 2D spreadsheet models into Anaplan multi-dimensional models
- Liaising with Finance Managers (and other Anaplan users) in order to understand requirements and developing Anaplan models to meet these requirements
- Keeping up to speed with latest product releases on the Anaplan platform, working in line with Anaplan best practices to ensure that desirable functionality is adopted into the existing and future modelling capabilities
- Developing standard documentation for the applications, and provide support in maintenance and continuous improvements post model roll out
- Providing guidance to team members regarding technical configuration, testing processes, etc
- Training and assisting users on Anaplan on how to get the best from the system, as well as explaining the inner workings where necessary
Qualifications
Who we're looking for:
- Experience with building and maintaining financial models
- Knowledge and experience in the use of planning, modelling or other data technologies to provide business solutions
- Experience with the Anaplan tools is beneficial
- Tableau, Alteryx, SQL or Equivalent is desired
- Knowledge or Experience in the financial services industry would be advantageous
