Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented student intern to join our cutting-edge Super Technician project development team at the Plymouth Lab. This role offers an opportunity to work on advanced ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibration workflows, data systems integration, and software tools like RPA bots. The intern will collaborate with engineers and technicians to refine calibration processes, streamline error reporting, and enhance system automation.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. ADAS Calibration Workflow Support
    • Assist in testing and refining ADAS calibration flows, including pre-scan, dynamic calibration, and post-scan processes.
    • Collaborate with technicians to evaluate the effectiveness of calibration tools like Sheldon and Bosch's expert dashboards.
  2. RPA Bot Development and Testing
    • Contribute to the development and troubleshooting of RPA bots using platforms like Microsoft Power Automate.
    • Monitor bot performance for workflows such as session initiation, diagnostic tool setup, and ticket management.
  3. System Analysis and Optimization
    • Review existing software integrations, identifying bottlenecks and proposing solutions for improved efficiency.
    • Develop scripts or tools to automate repetitive tasks or streamline existing workflows.
  4. Documentation and Reporting
    • Assist in maintaining detailed documentation for calibration workflows and troubleshooting guides.
    • Prepare reports on error trends and calibration success rates for internal stakeholders.
  5. Data Handling and Management
    • Support data validation and database integration for calibration targets and DTC records.
    • Analyze calibration data to enhance prediction models or calibration precision.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong foundation in programming languages (Python, TypeScript, JavaScript) and familiarity with tools like Flask, React, or SQL databases.
  • Experience with machine learning concepts, REST APIs, and debugging large codebases is a plus.
  • Knowledge of ADAS systems, automotive diagnostics, or calibration processes is highly desirable.
  • Proficient in using Git, Jira, and other agile development tools.
  • Detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to collaborate in a cross-functional team and adapt to new challenges.
