Automation Engineer – Business Automation

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Automation Engineer with a proven technical background as RPA Engineer and/or backend developer, particularly in Python, who is passionate about leveraging automation to drive efficiency and innovation within our organization. The ideal candidate will integrate their backend expertise with Robotic Process Automation (RPA) to create and enhance automated solutions that align with our business objectives and user needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Automation Strategy & Implementation:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement automation strategies that enhance backend processes and improve operational efficiency.
  • Design, develop, and deploy RPA solutions using platforms like UiPath or Power Automate
• Technical Guidance:
  • Bridge the gap between product management and engineering teams by providing technical insights and ensuring alignment on automation and backend development projects.
  • Participate in design and architecture discussions to ensure technical feasibility and best practices.
• Data Management & Integration:
  • Design, query, and manage SQL databases to support backend services and automated solutions.
  • Develop and integrate RESTful APIs to facilitate seamless data flow between applications and systems.
• Version Control & Collaboration:
  • Utilize Git for version control, ensuring code quality and facilitating collaboration through code reviews and best practices.
  • Work closely with DevOps to implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.
• Problem-Solving & Support:
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automation processes and backend systems.
  • Provide ongoing support and maintenance for deployed automation solutions.
• Documentation & Compliance:
  • Document automation workflows, backend architectures, and technical solutions comprehensively.
  • Ensure compliance with information security procedures and perform risk assessments for automation projects.

Qualifications

• • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. Master’s degree is a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience as a RPA Developer/Engineer (Backend Engineers experience in Python are also welcome to apply)
  • Experience with Robotic Process Automation (RPA) tools such as UiPath or Microsoft Power Automate.
  • Proficient in SQL and experience with relational databases.
  • Knowledgeable in data and visualization tools such as Tableau, Kibana, Grafana, OpenSearch.
  • Experience designing and integrating RESTful APIs.
  • Proficient in using Git for version control.
  • Knowledge of automation frameworks and best practices.
  • Explored with AI, machine learning, and LLM technologies and frameworks (e.g., Autogen, Langchain).
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to analyze business processes and identify automation opportunities
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Preferred Experience

• • Experience building services and/or automation scripts (e.g., Python, C#).
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience working with data-driven products, APIs, or platforms that leverage machine learning, data analytics, or software engineering best practices within a financial institution or banking environment
