The Raytheon is seeking an organized and energetic Principal Systems Engineer to join our team. The chosen candidate will work within the program which supports a proprietary customer with operational support to 24/7 Operations and carry a pager as necessary.  This position will provide technical expertise, analysis, and engineering support to the Weapons and Tactics (W&T) Office. This position requires excellent system engineering, analytical and problem-solving skills in a team environment. Location: Near Springfield, Virginia

What You Will Do

• Serve as a technical liaison with customers and demonstrate project leadership skills collaborating across customer and contractor boundaries.
• Perform in a high tempo, dynamic small team environment, closely integrated with customers and contractors. 
• Operate Research and Development (R&D) initial operations for systems developed by multiple customers. 
• Evaluate customer operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements.
• Keep customer and contractor leadership appraised of activities, deliverables, problems, and opportunities.
• Lead major projects that support the program/customer.
• Develop, coordinate, train, evaluate, and analyze Courses of Action (COAs), Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs), Response Options (ROs) and CONOPS documents. 
• Comprehend and communicate complex technical information.

Qualifications You Must Have  

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 8 years of prior engineering experience or equivalent experience.
• Experience in systems engineering.
• Experience leading teams.
• Experience in project leadership and executing presentation
• Experience in a customer operations environment.
• Experience with national level intelligence disciplines and able to incorporate them into program development.
• Experience with ISR TCOED processes from both a tactical and strategic perspective.
• Experience with SENTIENT Tools 
• An active and transferable TS/SCI CI Poly U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for the required security clearance.

• Experience communicating with customers on complex issues, supporting manager and team perspective on a variety of issues
• Experience with sense making resources and available data inputs
• Experience performing detailed work with speed and accuracy
• Experience controlling data flow in a methodical and disciplined manner
• Data analytic tool (SPLUNK, KIBANA, etc.)

• Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
