The Opportunity

We are looking for an outstanding Applied Research Scientist Intern candidate with great passion of building GenAI empowered “Adobe Magic” to delight customers in Photoshop and digital imaging applications.

As an Applied Research Scientist Intern, you will have the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team of researchers, engineers, and domain experts in reshaping the future of technology and experiences for millions of Photoshop and digital imaging customers! 

What You’ll Do

  • Work closely with product, research, and engineering leaders to contribute to GenAI, especially Large Language Models and Large Multimodal Models, research and advanced development that can be applied to Photoshop and digital imaging applications.

  • Keep up with the latest scientific literature and advancements in the LLM domain, suggesting potential improvements or integrations.

  • Bring energy, focus and excellence to all projects and assignments.

  • Take initiative, seek new challenges, and acquire necessary knowledge and skills to get the job done.

What You Need to Succeed

  • PhD degree in machine learning, AI, computer science, statistics, or scene semantic understanding; or equivalent experience required with an expected graduation date of December 2025 – June 2026

  • Ability to participate in a full time internship between May-September

  • Experience and demonstrable knowledge of LLM (Large Language Models) and LMM (Large Multimodal Models), encompassing their evaluation metrics, challenges in productizations, and familiarity with common frameworks and methodologies utilized in building LLM and LMM applications. Strong applications include relevant work experience or a top conference publication.

  • Proficient in Python with hands-on experience in machine learning libraries and development toolkits including Cloud frameworks such as AWS.

  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in interdisciplinary teams, demonstrating strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; can effectively articulate complex ideas and influence others through well-reasoned explanations.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several  U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $45.00 -- $61.00 hourly. Your recruiter can share more about the specific pay rate for your job location during the hiring process.
