Data Engineer

                  

Your tasks

• You will develop scripts and flows for processing all kinds of data used within RTL, using both SQL and Python, but if you can convince us with a nice alternative, we're open to it!
• You will work closely with reporting specialists, data analysts, data scientists, and other development teams to optimize the use of data.
• Implementing and optimizing data pipelines to import data from a wide variety of data sources
• Collaborating with internal stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Maintaining and improving current (cloud) software
• Contributing to making the organization more data-driven
• Staying up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in data engineering

 

Your profile

 

• Thorough understanding of Data Ops
• Thorough understanding of data modeling
• Thorough understanding of SQL and ELT/ETL data flows
• Experience with Python
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to thrive in a diverse, rapidly changing environment
• Language skills: fluent in English
• Experience in setting up and testing CI/CD pipelines (GIT) is a plus
• Experience with Snowflake and DataBricks (Delta Lake) is a plus
• Experience with APIs is a plus
• Experience with DBT is a plus

The landscape

We process large quantities of data via both streaming and batch manner in our cloud-based data platform.

The landscape includes Snowflake, DBT, Airflow, DataBricks, Delta Lake, and our own API management tool. These work together with Kafka, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Docker in Azure, which are maintained by our Platform engineering team with whom you will closely collaborate.
