About AFSL
The Samsung Advanced Flash Solution Lab (AFSL) is part of Samsung’s memory business, the world’s largest manufacturer of memory and storage devices for mobile phones, personal computers, servers and data centers. In this highly competitive field, innovation is critical for the success of next generation products. Our mission at AFSL is to augment Samsung’s memory and storage products with the newest innovative technologies, improving their capacity and performance many-fold, and to create next generation technology. What will you do
In this role, you will take part in the development of a new technology that is based on Machine Learning methods to be implemented in HW in feature storage products.
- Design algorithms, that are based on machine learning and signal processing methods.
- Work closely with HW engineers to implement the algorithms in HW and take part in the entire development cycle: Define algorithmic specifications with fixed point definitions, write a reference module SW and perform bit-exact tests.
- Share your work in external conferences, journals and patent submissions.
- Gradually acquire an increasing knowledge of memory systems, which will let you identifying bottlenecks and opportunities, and suggesting new project ideas.
Requirements
- Ph.D./M.Sc. Electrical Engineering or a related field
- 5+ years of work experience with primary emphasis on algorithms development
- Experience in development of algorithms that are implemented in HW: performing fixed point analysis and design reviews, writing reference module (Golden) SW and planning bit-exact verification
- Proficiency in Python and ML packages
