Full-time/Part-time Research Assistant I/II

Full-time/Part-time Research Assistant I/II in the School of Public Health (Ref.: 530517) (to commence as soon as possible for one year on temporary term contract, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or above in infectious disease epidemiology, mathematics, statistics, computational biology, physics or related disciplines. They should have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including fluent Cantonese), good interpersonal, organizational and communication skills, and a strong sense of responsibility.  They should be detail-oriented and able to work collaboratively in a team. Experience in infectious disease epidemiology and statistical analysis would be an advantage. Quantitative skills and proficiency in statistical or computer modelling software (e.g. R, Python, Stata, Matlab, C++, SPSS) are highly preferred.

The appointee will assist in studies related to influenza and/or COVID-19, analyse statistical data, and prepare publications and reports.
