Job Description

Are you a Robotics or Computer Science student excited about working hands-on with advanced robotics? Join us for a three-month internship at Lely, where you will collaborate with a dynamic and diverse team to develop a cutting-edge Multi-Degree-of-Freedom (DOF) robotic platform. This platform is designed to drive innovation in the dairy sector by accelerating robotics integration. This is not just a coding internship – you’ll watch your work come to life as the custom-built platform moves, responding to your commands! 

During your internship, you will focus on: 

• Developing an application that controls the multi-DOF robotic platform using ROS (Robot Operating System); 
• Implementing complex motion features to expand the platform's capabilities; 
• Designing a user-friendly graphical interface for intuitive control and configuration; 
• Conducting comprehensive testing to ensure reliability and functionality of the platform. 

This position offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience with ROS and robotics development, working alongside a team of 7 international colleagues in the computer vision team at our Lely campus in Maassluis. 

Qualifications

• You are currently pursuing an HBO or WO degree in Robotics, Computer Science, or a related field; 
• Proficiency in Python and/or C++, with experience in ROS; 
• Strong problem-solving skills, with an ability to work independently; 
• Excellent communication skills and a curiosity-driven mindset; 
• A hands-on, eager-to-learn attitude that pushes you to explore innovative solutions.
