Curve is looking for a Data Scientist to join the Data team in London. This is an existing team tasked with building scalable solutions to help make our internal and external customers' lives easier, more intuitive and allow our customers to optimise their Curve experience. Our work is characterised by advanced analytics and machine learning, high scale, complexity, and a constant need for innovation.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience employing advanced analytics to real-world business problems to deliver results. Strong analytical and algorithmic skills, knowledge of applied computational statistics, exposure to large-scale business data, experience working in cross-functional teams, and a track record of solution delivery in a relevant area are desirable.
Key Accountabilities:
- Utilise Google Cloud Platform to develop and deploy scalable analytics solutions that serve millions of customers. Some of the tools we use include: PyTorch, PyTorch Lightning, XGBoost, and BigQueryML.
- Collaborate with our Data and Engineering teams to produce solutions that drive immediate business value.
- Work with the VP of Data and Product teams to identify unique opportunities to leverage Curve’s data through advanced analytics and modelling.
- Launch prototype models in production with A/B testing to validate and optimise business impact.
Skills & Experience:
- Some experience with advanced analytics in production on distributed systems.
- Hold a BSc degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field. (Applicants with a degree in a related discipline who have demonstrated a strong grounding in engineering will also be considered).
- Experience solving real-world business problems using advanced analytics techniques.
- High attention to detail and strong investigative skills.
- Experience working with/managing stakeholders, particularly product managers.
- Proven ability to provide value and quantifiable real-world impact through a range of different analytics techniques.
- A good understanding of statistics, particularly Bayesian Statistics and Statistical Learning.
- Some experience working with large language models
