The role is positioned in the Product, Data & Technology (PDT) unit as part of the SAP Corporate Processes & IT (CPIT) organization. The Role: 

SAP Intelligent Data Management (IDM) owns the Trusted Data Framework, providing Strategy, Governance and Product Management for master data. We are looking for a team manager for the Meta Data team who is responsible for driving master data topics that are relevant for all of IDM’s data governance and data operations teams. Weaving Master Data DNA deeply into our business processes, we create a delightful B2B/B2C experience for SAP, SAP’s customers and partners. Your team is responsible for driving business value through product management, trusted data & data quality and driving innovation through technology – collaboratively with various teams across SAP. 

Position Overview 

• Lead a team of passionate, engaged, and strong advocates for data literacy across CPIT and SAP 

• As product managers in the IDM Meta Data team, your team owns the vision, roadmap, and backlog for the respective data engineering teams, driving value, quality, and innovation. 

• Align and manage dependencies between data, processes, and applications. 

• Manage the Data Agile Release Train (DART) and IT portfolio in collaboration with the data delivery team. 

• Drive for data excellence incl. AI and automation. 

• Drive business enablement and trustful stakeholder engagement, esp. with Marketing, Sales, Finance, and Development. 

Create a learning environment that allows everyone to grow and live up to new challenges. 

What you bring:

• Proven track record in a leadership role / people management  

• Broad overview of SAP’s enterprise architecture and processes 

• Deep understanding of integrated business process flows across SAP products and experience of SAP Master Data and core ERP processes. 

• Proven track record in a system deployment in IT and/or consulting roles. 

• Broad overview about IT organizations and operating models. 

• Proven communication skills, proactive, hands-on approach, and a positive attitude. 

• Experienced in Agile ways of working (we use SAFe as our framework). 

• Excellent Project Management skills. 

WORK EXPERIENCE 

• 8+ years of professional work experience in Consulting, IT, Architecture, Business Process, COO, Product & Solution Management and/or Master Data Management 

• Experience in driving IT and change projects and/or initiatives across organizations.
