Job Description

Role summary: Ares Management is seeking a Data Analyst to support the Portfolio Management (“PM”) team of the European Direct Lending Group. The Analyst will provide support for the monitoring of Ares Direct Lending Group European corporate debt and equity investments, including underlying borrowers monthly financial data entry into Ares proprietary software, database and track record maintenance supporting general portfolio management, quarterly valuation and reporting, as well as ongoing fund raising and existing investor relationship efforts. This position will be based in Mumbai.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Monthly data entry of underlying borrowers’ financials in Ares proprietary software, including P&L, Cash Flow, and Balance Sheet as well as capital structure.

  • Providing assistance to portfolio and deal teams with assigned investments and general portfolio management including quarterly valuation and reporting.

  • Liaise with various stakeholders in providing relevant portfolio investment documents and information.

  • Maintaining and developing Ares track record database, including current and new portfolio investments

  • Provide ongoing support to the PM team maintaining and developing Ares investment track record, ongoing monthly and quarterly reporting to investors and additional duties include providing direct support as deemed necessary by senior management.

  • Excellent Excel skills (to build templates, complex formulas, etc.).

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize/manage deadlines.

  • Excellent organizational, and interpersonal skills.

  • Overlap of business hours of at least 4 hours required.
