In technology strategy at PwC, you will specialise in developing and implementing strategic plans to leverage technology for business growth and innovation. You will analyse market trends, assess organisational needs, and provide guidance on technology investments and initiatives. Working in this area, you will collaborate with stakeholders to align technology strategies with overall business objectives to increase utilisation of technology resources, driving competitive advantage.

Job Description

As part of the Technology Strategy team, the incumbent will play a key role in supporting global engagement from India in driving the company's strategic and operational initiatives, implementing innovative solutions, measuring results early and often, and ensuring performance meets the desired targets.

Job responsibilities mainly include activities driven towards delivering results - conduct analyses and develop insights, prepare excel models, analyze large sets of data, support project lead, work directly with project teams and enable decision making, organize and prepare recommendations to address client problems, and participate actively in business development, thought leadership and firm building activities.

PwC’s Technology Strategy practice is aimed at providing client solutions that are directly related to the CIO/CTO, managing/transforming business functions, providing diligence with respect to technologies involved and supporting transformation projects.

Skills & Competencies 

The incumbent should be able to demonstrate proven and thorough knowledge or success in supporting large teams through the design and implementation of changes to strategy and operations (including people, processes, and technology changes) by: 

• Ability to articulate leading business issues and trends including the associated technology implications within one or multiple industries 

• Demonstrate application of business acumen while leveraging technologies 

• Experience with cloud technologies and concerned architectures 

• Ability to describe technology solutions and usage models in business terms and demonstrate business value to clients 
• Develop comprehensive action plans, strategies, and roadmaps to address client challenges and achieve their goals

• Demonstrated ability to determine customer needs, identify use cases for a technology/ solution, conduct cost-benefit analysis and develop business case 

• Communicating effectively (written and verbal) to various situations and audiences 

We are looking for candidates with experience and skillset in one or more of the following areas:

• Digital Platforms - Expertise in digital platforms and functional knowledge of business processes, capable of conducting in-depth business case analyses, facilitating process workshops, and performing comprehensive system / architecture assessments
• Cloud Strategy and Architecture - Adept in cloud technologies, with an ability to design solution architecture, rationalize applications, develop multi-cloud / datacenter strategies, create business cases, formulate workload disposition roadmaps, analyze TCO, consolidate technology, design landing zones, and lead cloud migration projects
• Data and AI Strategy – Experience in data migration, data fabric, with a strong background in AI/ML, generative AI, NLP, and/or large language models (LLMs), to conduct readiness assessments and ensure robust AI governance
• Enterprise Architecture – Experience in business capability mapping, Phase 0 assessments and roadmaps, capability maturity assessments, and EA governance, utilizing tools like LEANIX for service mapping, managing the enterprise portfolio, and developing EA reference architecture and operating models
• Agile Transformation – Experience in Lean-Agile transformation, capable of establishing and leading a Lean-Agile Center of Excellence (LACE) and developing a product-based operating model
• Service Management Strategy – Experience in ITSM process consulting, capable of developing strategic roadmaps and possessing functional knowledge of market-leading Service Management platforms

Qualifications 

• Master’s degree – Technology and/or Management (Business Administration) specialization 

• 9 - 14 years relevant experience in IT, Digital and Cloud in consulting or technology function of industries 

• Certifications relevant to any of the following areas -  

• Cloud Architecture certifications - AWS, Microsoft, GCP, etc. 

• TOGAF, COBIT, Data Architecture certifications
• SAFe Architect, ITIL, ServiceNow, BMC, etc.
• AI/ML Certifications from Amazon, Google, IBM, Microsoft
