We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Manager Data Scientist | Credit Risk Analytics to join our Tech Consulting practice in Madrid. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Data Science and Machine Learning, with a proven track record in credit risk modelling and business development activities to drive innovative solutions for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage consulting projects at the intersection of Credit Risk Modelling, Data Science, and Machine Learning.
- Develop and implement advanced credit risk models to enhance clients' risk management strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver comprehensive solutions that meet clients' business needs.
- Drive business development activities, including identifying new opportunities, preparing proposals, and presenting to potential clients.
- Lead digital transformation projects in the banking industry to drive innovation and efficiency.
- Provide technical expertise and thought leadership in Data Science and Machine Learning to clients and internal teams.
- Hands-on experience of applied statistical models, risk analytics, credit rating, credit and scoring model development, estimation of expected credit losses, and macroeconomic stress testing.
- Manage and lead international teams, ensuring effective collaboration and communication across different regions.
- Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in technology to ensure the delivery of cutting-edge solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
- Over 7 years of experience in the banking or financial services industry, with a focus on credit risk analytics and modelling.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing credit risk models using advanced statistical and machine learning techniques.
- Strong technical skills in programming languages such as Python, R, SAS, and SQL.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience in business development, including client relationship management and project sales.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
- Experience in audits of credit risk models (IFRS9) and portfolio monitoring to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements is a plus.
- Proven experience in managing international teams.
- Passionate about economics, finance, statistics, and programming.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a consulting environment.
- Advanced certifications in Data Science, Machine Learning, or related fields.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards in credit risk management.
