As we continue our pursuit of NPS +30 we need to transform the way we engage with our customers and colleagues.  The Decision Science Domain was set up to build the tools and capabilities needed within the group tapping into the promise of AI as a key technology to solve those needs.  

This domain powers the creation of AI solutions that will support more personalised experiences for our customers and our people. We must bring a customer first mindset into every decision; every day, whilst taking a holistic change management approach to drive organisational adoption. 

Within the domain, CommBank AI crew has delivered cutting edge, pioneer programs of work in the past to the bank such as Project Superverse, first wave of Generative AI use cases, Climate & Sustainability AI and recently Project Interstellar, while in parallel enabling platform side capabilities such as MLOps model deployments and Feature Store. Many of these programs have become our reference points in key internal events such as Reimagine Banking, bank’s annual results and CDAO Showcases, as well as external events with Microsoft, H2O, Evident, Snowflake etc.

As the Senior Manager, CommBank AI Crew, you’ll own the end-to-end delivery of use cases in projects such as Interstellar (embeddings) and Superverse (CEE+H2O).

To do this, you will need to collaborate with business stakeholders, engineers, risk professionals, cyber professionals and data scientists.

We support our people with the flexibility to balance where work is done with at least half your time each month connecting in office. Key Responsibilities:

• Defining, building, and implementing AI-driven products and solutions that align with bank’s strategic goals.
• Defining and prioritising AI use cases based on customer needs, AI value, competitive landscape, and emerging AI technologies.
• Creating and maintaining a product roadmap in collaboration with business stakeholder, data science teams, and platform/data delivery.
• Communicating AI Domain Technological tooling/advancements.
• Continuously improve the Domain documentation content in collaboration with engineers, product owners and chapter leads.
• Adapting to Domain’s dynamic environment and meeting the crew’s high standards and expectations.
• Experience working in a highly collaborative environments.

Tech skills:

We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don’t expect you to know all of them. Technical skills completed by your natural leadership attributes will make you successful in the role.

• Understanding of AI/ML technologies, data analytics, cloud services, and agile product development.
• Familiarity with Python, SQL, and different kinds of AI models as well as frameworks is a plus.
• Analytical ability to define success metrics and design measurement frameworks aligned with user adoption of AI products.
• Highly proficient in tools such as Jira, Confluence and MS Excel for day to day operations.
• Sound knowledge of banking products and regulatory requirements for AI in finance.
• Demonstrated experience in educating stakeholders on AI tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
