Data Analyst, Migration Project (Banking Industry)

Responsibilities:

• Lead the transition of data profiling activities and deliverables from other vendors to ensure continuity in data discovery and profiling refinement.
• Review, update, and refine data mapping, standardization, and transformation rules to ensure data consistency across systems.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve critical data issues to ensure the integrity and quality of migrated data.
• Maintain version identification and mapping checklists to ensure tracking and accuracy of data migration.
• Collaborate with the IT team to prepare data and test cases for mock data migrations, dry runs, and dress rehearsals.
• Support data reconciliation and validation activities following data loads to ensure successful migration.
• Develop and maintain data migration dashboards for reporting on project health, status, and performance metrics.

Requirements:

• Min. Bachelor’s Degree in IT or any relevant field.  
• Min. 3 years of IT Service Management (ITSM) experience, covering all phases of ITSM (e.g., ITIL).
• Min. 3 years of Data Analyst (DA) experience, including data profiling and mapping.
• Possess at least 2 years of working experience in banking industry.
• Strong knowledge of ITIL or other ITSM frameworks.
• Possess strong business communication skills in English and Japanese (to liaise with Japanese speaking stakeholders and clients).
• Experience in the Financial Industry or with IT Service Management (ITSM).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) for reporting and documentation.
• Strong communication and client engagement skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data accuracy and consistency.
