Contract Data Analyst - Indonesian Language

Lightcast is seeking data-driven professionals with specialized language skills to support the expansion of our global features. In this role, you will play a critical part in delivering high-quality data to our customers.
This is a full-time (40 hours/week), independent contractor position with a duration of up to 6 months. Please note that this role requires you to provide your own device (laptop).

Major Responsibilities:

• Analyze and improve data quality of multilingual text classifiers.
• Work with linguistics and engineering teams to build out new parsers across languages.
• Translate various taxonomies such as Skills, Titles, and Occupations.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics, Data Analytics, NLP, or a related field (preferred).
• Proficiency in reading and writing Indonesian; additional language knowledge is a plus.
• Strong understanding of syntax and structural analysis of languages.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel, including vlookups, data cleanup, and advanced functions.
• Familiarity with query languages such as SQL.
• Expertise in rule writing using RegEx.
• Knowledge of text analysis or machine learning principles.
• Experience in data analysis using tools such as Excel or Python.
• High tolerance for repetitive and detailed tasks.
• Ability to follow complex instructions, navigate ambiguity, and work independently.
• Exceptional sense of urgency and time management.
• Access to a reliable laptop and a stable internet connection.
