Head of Data

There are 2 billion people in the world that are financially underserved, having little to no access to financial products. The majority of these people live in the Emerging Markets.‍Jeff is a financial technology startup that addresses this issue. We build financial product comparison marketplaces that help consumers and financial service providers connect and increase odds of cooperation by the help of available data - largely digital footprint. Our goal is to unlock financial services for the underbanked, with a clear focus on emerging economies that will drive the global economy in decades to come.‍Launched in Vietnam in 2020, Jeff has grown into a 40+ people team across 6 countries. To date, we have helped 9 million customers in Vietnam, Philippines, Mexico and Sri Lanka to compare tens of millions of financial products.Since inception, Jeff has raised close to $5 Million in funding from reputable investorsWe have grown from 0 to 8-digit annual revenue In 2024, Sifted recognized Jeff as fastest growing startup in the regionJeff has also been recognized as Top 3 fastest growing tech company in the Central Europe by Deloitte‍As we enter the next phase in our journey, we are looking for a Head of Data. You will be the driving force behind all things Business Intelligence, Data Science and Data Productization, leading and growing an already established team.‍If you're looking for a challenge and the opportunity to participate in building an exciting, global product, then this role is for you! ⚡️

You will:

• Oversee all things Business Intelligence / Data Analytics in the company
• Be the responsible person both overseeing existing Data Science projects and processes, as well as driving new initiatives
• Closely collaborate with Engineering team for all things related to DWH, data pipelines, infrastructure and related items
• Investigate new use-cases for existing data, as well as explore low-hanging fruits for new data sources and types across multiple markets
• Drive a number of initiatives and projects related to CLTV, up-sell and cross-sell, driven by data
• Interact with internal and external stakeholders, identifying new business opportunities that can be achieved by wider and smarter data utilization
• Manage an already-established, skilled team of Data Analysts, Scientists and Engineers, growing it in line with business needs
• Work very closely with the founding team & senior leadership

You have:

• At least 5 years of experience in Data Analytics, Data Science or Credit Risk related roles
• Preference to candidates with at least 2 years of Leadership experience
• Experience with AWS stack
• Past experience in Credit services, FinTech, AdTech or Internet marketplaces industries is considered an advantage
• Willingness to be in an environment that is fast-paced, sometimes chaotic & never dull
