Data Engineer

Role description:We’re looking for a Data Engineer for a 6-month project. Working hours: 8 hours/day, Mon-Fr, EST time zone.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with data import (ETL) and maintenance
• Process, cleanse, and validate the integrity of data to be used for analysis
• Develop overarching best practices and protocols for data usage agreements with clients and vendor partners
• Manage flow of data from raw format to end-users
• Develop templates and infrastructure to support data visualization
• Maintain and update data model and documentation to support business requirements
• Automate electronic data exchange
• Apply data architecture best practices
• Serve as a subject matter expert and collaborate with cross-functional teams to address data-related issues

Technical Skills:

• Excellent knowledge of relational database management systems, data modeling, data migration and data visualization
• Experience with data architecture with cloud computing tools
• Experience with AWS particularly S3, Athena, Data Pipeline and Glue
• Experience with test-driven development
• Ability to document requirements and specifications

Qualifications:

• English level B2+
• Proven working-experience in data engineering
• BS degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or Engineering
• Hands-on experience in data modeling and data visualization
• AWS experience
• Experience in a variety of coding languages such as SQL, Python, Java or Scala
