Huawei's Munich Research Center is responsible for advanced technology research, architectural development, design and strategic engineering of our products.

(Senior/Principal) research engineer: robot learning (m/f/d)

 

Your mission

  • Lead and conduct advanced research in robot learning, including reinforcement learning, imitation learning, and deep learning techniques.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate research outcomes into practical robotic systems.
  • Publish research findings in top-tier conferences and journals.
  • Mentor junior researchers and engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative research environment.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in robotics and deep learning, and apply these insights to ongoing projects.


Your areas of expertise

  • Ph.D. in Computer vision, robotics, simulation, computer science, information technologies, or other related disciplines.
  • Extensive experience in robot learning, with a strong publication record in relevant conferences and journals.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, and experience with machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to a diverse audience.
  • Experience with robotic simulation environments and real-world robotic systems.
