In our DXC Technology team we are currently looking for a Data Architect. Typical areas where you will work in are: Analytics Solutions and Services, Big Data Platforms, Artificial Intelligence and IoT.
Role:
Design Enterprise grade data architectures taking functional and technical requirements into account completed with experience and best practices. Take design standards into account and communicate the design(s) to all stakeholders.
Review and conduct technical research, testing, evaluation and documentation of complex hosting/configuration tools and methodologies to ensure that tools are modern, qualified and functional.
Define the Cloud , On-premise or Hybrid infrastructure needs to make the architecture operational given certain SLA or performance requirements. Able to high level give indications of costing using Cloud costing tooling.
Coordinates with application developers, managers and customer application experts to ensure that required Analytics features are included in the appropriates releases.
Designs application modules that work together to produce desired product. Ensures that completed modules provide functionality described by application experts and to ensure that performance guidelines are met.
Evaluates new Analytics technologies and software products to determine feasibility and desirability of incorporating their capabilities. Acts a liaison between third party vendors and company to procure, develop and/or integrate their software into company products.
Requirements:
Bachelor's or higher degree in business, software engineering, computer sciences or related technical discipline.
+10 years of data architecture and/or product integration experience.
Experience working with:
Analytical software systems, applications and network markets
Broad business area and knowledge of competitor products and services
Data design principles and product configurations
Appropriate programming languages, operating systems, hardware and software to understand product line
Software development life cycle
Strong personal computer and business solutions software skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for design and testing of Analytical solutions.
Leadership skills to guide and mentor the work of less experienced colleagues.
Good communication skills for alignment with customers, support personnel, application development personnel and management.
Ability to create and maintain formal and informal networks.
Language requirements: fluent in Dutch or French (oral and written) and English.
