What will you do

You will work in the Product Quality and Development Acceleration team, focusing on analyzing data and building metrics that will help us improve the quality of our products and make a team of over 1500 engineers more effective. You will have a significant role in providing visibility and clarity to executive leadership to help our organization make the right strategic decisions. You will work closely with data analysts from other areas of the product team to make sure that our measures, datasets and tools are consistent across the organization.

We are a data-driven team who want to understand where we are and the areas to drive the highest impact towards our productivity targets. We would therefore expect you to be able to understand the metrics we want to implement based on our requirements, navigate our different tools to define data providers from several different data sources, integrate them to our data stores and compute this data into metrics to be displayed in our dashboards. You will have a chance to collaborate with geographically diverse teams and departments across the organization.

Metrics are a powerful mechanism to drive improvements, but they can be dangerous if we are not precise in their calculation, ensure the data is properly curated and updated and calculated as intended. The ideal candidate will be sure that everything flows as expected.

Data itself is not much use unless we can give meaning to it. The right candidate has a passion for statistics, knows how to correlate and visualise data to explain bottlenecks and areas that require improvements and can find potential causes for any issues we have.

  • Excellent communication in both technical and non-technical contexts
  • 6+ years of relevant experience

Your qualifications & skills:

  • B.S. or Master’s in technical area
  • Great problem-solving skills
  • Practical experience with SQL
  • Great communication and presentation skills to effectively convey metrics to stakeholders.

You'd have an advantage if you also have:

  • Solid experience in software development processes, how to measure their efficiency, quality, etc. The ideal candidate has a proven record using data to help teams become more efficient and deliver better quality. This way you fully understand what areas to measure and how to make challenges visible to teams.
  • Experience with Oracle Analytics Cloud
  • Experience with Kibana, OpenSarch or similar technology
  • Experience working with MS Excel
  • Agile (Scrum, SCRUMBan, Kanban, …) experience

Productivity Metrics and Progress Tracking:

  • Establish and maintain relevant metrics to measure progress and inform decision-making processes,
  • Interact with stakeholders, including executives, and present the metrics and progress updates.
