We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Architect with a strong focus on data warehousing to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust data warehouse solutions that support our business intelligence and analytics needs. As Director of Data Architecture, you will be responsible for designing and developing scalable data warehouse architectures to support business intelligence and analytics requirements. You will collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive data architecture through expertise and influence over a matrixed organization

  • Implement data integration solutions to consolidate data from various sources into the data warehouse.

  • Optimize data warehouse performance through indexing, partitioning, and other techniques.

  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and security across the data warehouse.

  • Develop and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) architecture to load data into the data warehouse.

  • Develop and maintain BI reporting architecture to present data from the data warehouse into BI tools.

  • Monitor and troubleshoot data warehouse issues, ensuring high availability and reliability.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in data warehousing and recommend improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Proven experience as a Data Architect with a focus on data warehousing.

  • Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts, methodologies, and best practices.

  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with database management systems (e.g., MS SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle).

  • Experience with ETL tools and processes (e.g., Informatica, Talend, Apache Nifi).

  • Experience with BI tools and processes (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI etc).

  • Familiarity with data modeling techniques and tools (e.g., ERwin, PowerDesigner).

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud-based data warehousing solutions (e.g., Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, Snowflake, DataBricks , Microsoft Fabric).

  • Knowledge of big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).

  • Knowledge of large scale data processing technologies including advanced performance optimization techniques

  • Certification in data warehousing or related fields.
