Specialty Data Analyst

We are looking for a Specialty Data Analyst to help deliver the Auto Follow Tracker Facility Placement initiative.

Summary of the role

You will work within our Specialty broking division, as Data Analyst. Your work will be integral to help deliver Auto Follow Tracker Facility Placement initiative •    which is a core component of Specialty’s placement strategy..  You will play a pivotal providing:

  • data analysis and associated reporting to support prospecting reporting to Specialty Divisions and supporting markets 60-90 days in advance to risk renewals;
  • monthly adoption/indexation internal reporting split by each Specialty Division; and
  • external reporting to markets for the new Specialty Tracker facility placement initiative.

Responsibilities

  • Execute all reporting service requirements of the Specialty Auto follow / Tracker Lineslip contract. 
  • Work with key internal stakeholders to develop a more automated process for all facets of reporting requirements for Specialty Tracker Lineslip facility
  • Establish a common reporting process and format for Specialty Divisions and supporting contracted insurers to evidence adoption statistics for the Tracker contract monthly.
  • Collate additional data from nominated internal supporting stakeholders to classify reasons and associated values for adoption statistics.
  • Act as a key support liaison between the markets and Specialty businesses.
  • Support the Head of Specialty Client Insights, Head of Facilities and Chief Broking Officer on future reporting changes including capturing feedback and offering potential solutions.
  • Agree a standard process share reporting with each division and the lead contract insurer and collect feedback.
  • Solve problems and create new opportunities using data.
  • Use specialist tools to manipulate data into meaningful and actionable insights in a timely manner.
  • Analysing data to identify trends.
  • Researching new ways to make use of data.
  • Engaging with other data teams across the group, including the Data team and IT.

Requirements

  • Experience in the Specialty Insurance sector; London Market and/or globally.
  • Attention to detail, with the ability to grasp insurance financials quickly.
  • In-depth experience in MS Excel, Python, SQL and/or R, Databricks
  • Familiar with PowerBI and/or other visualisation tools.
  • An engaging and inquisitive personality, always looking to solve problems and find solutions.
  • Background in maths/statistics/sciences
  • Business acumen, arithmetic skills and intellectual curiosity.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Familiar with the principles of UX/UI.

Desirable extra skills and experience:

  • Any other relevant data analysis tools and techniques.
