We are seeking an experienced Data Lead to oversee the data migration and integration efforts for a full-platform Workday implementation, encompassing both HR and Finance modules. The Data Lead will work closely with functional teams, technical teams, and third-party vendors to ensure seamless data integration, governance, and transformation across the project. This role requires in-depth knowledge of Workday’s data architecture, a strong understanding of HR and Finance data processes, and excellent project management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the data migration strategy for the Workday implementation, covering both HR and Finance systems.
- Define and execute data governance processes to ensure data quality, accuracy, and integrity throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, and IT stakeholders to gather data requirements, ensuring alignment with business processes and system capabilities.
- Oversee data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) activities, ensuring the accurate migration of legacy data into the Workday platform.
- Manage data validation and reconciliation efforts, ensuring discrepancies are resolved before go-live.
- Work with third-party vendors and internal teams to integrate data from other systems (e.g., payroll, benefits, financial reporting) into Workday.
- Develop and maintain a data migration plan and schedule, identifying key milestones and risks.
- Provide regular updates on the status of data-related activities, including data readiness, migration progress, and issue resolution.
- Manage and mentor a team of data specialists and analysts, ensuring the delivery of high-quality work.
- Collaborate with the Change Management team to provide insights on data impacts to users and stakeholders.
- Ensure data privacy and compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, SOX).
- Support post-go-live data maintenance, optimization, and troubleshooting efforts.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Experience in data management, with a strong focus on ERP implementations, preferably Workday.
- Hands-on experience with Workday HR and Finance modules, particularly in data migration and integration.
- Strong knowledge of SQL, ETL tools, and data migration methodologies.
- Experience with data governance and data quality frameworks.
- Proven ability to lead data teams through complex ERP implementations.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management abilities.
- Familiarity with compliance and data security regulations (GDPR, SOX, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Workday certification in Data Migration or Integration.
- Experience in large-scale data transformation projects.
- Knowledge of other ERP systems and their data architecture (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
