About the Role



As an Engineer – Automation, Bengaluru GCC, Grp 4.3 in our Finance Systems, Data & Innovation domain within Group Finance, you’ll play a key role in helping to advance the way finance provides and uses data and evolves the way we function as division. This role undertakes work based on squad backlog, working closely with others to prioritise work, manage interdependencies and deliver solutions. Including:

•    Undertaking analysis of current and future data design and build requirements and other tasks and liaise with other business and technology areas for resolution. The role also provides subject matter expertise on ANZ Enterprise wide Data design and build.
•    Providing guidance and leadership for the data design and build tasks to the build team performing tasks as per agreed stakeholder expectations. Implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to import from existing data sources.
•    Undertaking/co-ordinating maintenance of the infrastructure and coordination with ANZ Technology in areas as required.
•    Managing relationships with stakeholders, sponsors and customers and managing resulting expectations on solution design, build and delivery.

What will your day look like?


As an Engineer – Automation, you will:

•    Provide technical support to the team which is accountable for Solution Design, Development, Test, and Implementation of various projects as undertaken.
•    Participate in Business requirement analysis and feasibility study, communicate with Business Stakeholders effectively and ensure that requirements are clear from the Build perspective and can fit in the current suite of applications build.
•    Mentoring the Development team resources towards desired outcomes and ensuring the quality of the outcomes are of high standards. Provides Technical inputs (dependencies, sequencing, risks etc.) to assist the Delivery Manager with sizing and planning of projects.
•    Closely working with the Release Manager(s) and Delivery Managers, aiding in Delivery, and ensuring the technical quality of the deliverables for Releases and Projects.
•    Constantly engaging the end-customer to ensure that the requirements are met on time and all outstanding issues addressed satisfactorily.

What will you bring?


To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

 ‘Must Have’ knowledge, skill and experience the role requires are:

•    E2E Solution Design and Development using Python + SQL + JS/VBA/Batch/PowerShell/Scheduling.
•    MSSQL or Teradata Skills: Develop, implement, and optimize SQL Queries.
•    Intelligent Automation tools: Automation Anywhere or UiPath or Blue prism or Python Frontend automation.
•    Agile Development methodologies and tools experience like Atlassian Jira, Confluence etc.
•    Experience with multiple above-mentioned toolsets is required.
•    Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously or with a team.
•    High level relationship building and influencing skills and a good oral and written communication skills.

‘Good to Have’ knowledge, skill and experience the role requires are:

 •  Full Stack Development (Angular JS/ React JS, Nodejs, Django, Flask, Java, .NET Framework etc.), API development experience.
 •  Experience with SharePoint Design (Nintex).
 •  Data Wrangling tools: Alteryx or Knime.
 •  Experience in designing optimised Data Models, ETL, data orchestration and data    pipelines.
 •  Data Science (ML/AI algos and MLOps).
 •  Experience building Gen-AI based solutions.
 •  Data Visualization (Qlik Sense, Tableau, Microsoft Power BI etc.).
 •  Microsoft IIS Server application hosting.
 •  Experience with Cloud platforms for Compute, Data and Analytics.
 •  One or more of the above skillsets is preferred.

Qualifications:

 •  7+ years of relevant work experience working on above tools and technologies.
 •    Advance Certification of your primary skills is desired but not mandatory.
 •    Any Certification on open-source tools is desired but not mandatory.
 •    Excellent Oral and Written communication skills.
