Introduction

In our Development & Engineering (D&E), where our people design future machines, we have a team focusing on Change & Projects for Quality & Business Performance. The team developed a new way to finish the design of our complex machines through cross-sector collaboration, that we now will pilot with over 70 project teams. Together with you we need to set up a way to effectively run these pilots, capture insights, and ensure these learnings land in the right places within the organization. The pilot will be rolled out within the Product world of ASML, EUV, our most advanced machines.

Your assignment

The goal is to set up a research plan and bring it into practice to extract relevant learnings so your stakeholders can learn and embed these learnings. You will be contributing to the strategy of ASML within the world of EUV performance and innovation. For this, we are looking for two students (one focusing entirely on quantitative data and the other on qualitative data), who are not afraid to be wrong, can deal with a setback and just won’t stop until we get it right.

1st Assignment - Quantitative data researcher

Responsibilities:

  • Develop methods for effective quantitative data collection;

  • Participate in project teams to observe meetings, workflows and tool usage;

  • Visualize data insights for project teams, stakeholders;

2nd Assignment - Qualitative data researcher

Responsibilities:

  • Develop methods for qualitative research;

  • Conduct qualitative research and gather insights during meetings / work sessions

  • Identify key issues and benefits in meeting setups and tool usage

This is a bachelor/master apprentice internship (gain work experience) or a bachelor graduation project (thesis) for minimum 5 months, for 5 days per week. We have a position for you as of asap, latest start date February 2025.

Your profile

To be a perfect fit for the 1st Assignmemnt (Quantitative data researcher), you:

  • Grasp complex topics quickly (dare to ask, seek information yourself, good at grabbing the essence);

  • Have strong data analysis skills (tools, tactics, analysis, summarizing, conclusions);

  • Are proficiency in data visualization tools (it helps if you love excel, PowerPoint);

To be a perfect fit for the 2nd Assignmemnt (Qualitative data researcher), you need to:

  • Grasp complex topics quickly (dare to ask, seek information yourself, good at grabbing the essence);

  • Have strong observational, interview and analytical skills (tools, tactics, analysis, summarizing, conclusions);

  • Be able to visualize qualitative data and bring it to life (it helps if you love excel, miro and PowerPoint);

Other requirements you need to meet

  • You are enrolled at an educational institute for the entire duration of the internship;

  • You need to be located in the Netherlands to be perform your internship. In case you ‘re currently living/studying outside of the Netherlands, your CV/motivation letter includes the willingness to relocate.

  • If you are a non-EU citizen, studying in the Netherlands, your university is willing to sign the documents relevant for doing an internship (i.e., Nuffic agreement).

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
