Reporting to the Manager, Business Intelligence, the Business Intelligence Analyst is a subject matter expert providing visibility into internal and external metrics. The individual works with various stakeholders to identify key intelligence topics/questions, collect and retrieve data, and present actionable analyses to aid decision making. The BI Analyst will consider leading and lagging indicators to identify gaps and solutions in people, process, and tools.
What you’ll do
Design and develop dashboards and reports in data visualization tools (e.g. PowerBI) for various audiences to track performance on leading and lagging indicators
Identify opportunities where data can support decision making and solution/deliver reports and analyses
Automate existing manual reports and suggest process improvements to accommodate the automation
Assess data systems and programs in support of ad-hoc and standing customer requests
Analyze data and processes to provide business intelligence and decision support for business leaders
Advise management on the content and interpretation of business data
Recommend alternative data or analysis solutions to management based on available data and business needs
Implement new data or analysis processes based on changing business or industry conditions
Identify gaps and solutions in data quality and governance
Collaborate with research and external insights team to benchmark performance and recommend actions
What you need to succeed
Must-have
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Statistics, an IT related field, or equivalent experience
4+ years of quantitative analysis experience
Proficiency in PowerBI
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
Strong communication skills to build professional relationships with business partners across the organization
Ability to manipulate data with tools, draw conclusions, and relate back to business problems and solutions
Track record of balancing multiple priorities simultaneously with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the business while meeting deadlines
Demonstrated ability to understand and concisely articulate details and impacts of complex business problems
Nice-to-have
Experience with SQL, relational databases and python
Salary range: $70,000 - $83,200 depending on experience and skill set
