Biocair is a specialist GDP courier with over 35 years of experience in cell and gene therapy, clinical trials, pharmaceutical, bioscience sectors.We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Business Intelligence (BI) Developer to design, develop, and implement robust, scalable, and high-performance business intelligence solutions. In this role, you will play a critical part in transforming data into actionable insights that drive decision-making and business strategies.
Responsibilities will include:
- Develop and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and visualisations using Power BI tools.
- Design, develop, and maintain business intelligence solutions, including data models, ETL processes, and reporting dashboards.
- Develop and optimise SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into the data warehouse.
- Implement data quality and data governance processes to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
- Design and develop data models to support business intelligence initiatives.
- Perform data profiling and analysis to understand the structure, relationships, and quality of data.
- Optimise database performance and implement necessary indexing and tuning techniques.

In addition, you will demonstrate these key competencies:
- Proven work experience as a Business Intlligence Developer
- Strong proficiency and experience in T-SQL (SQL Server) , SSIS, SSRS and SSAS packages.
- Power BI
- A strong background in designing, implementing, maintaining and documenting ELT processes and functional company reports.
- Able to spot potential issues and excellent problem-solving
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management concepts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Please note this is a full-time role, 40 hours per week Monday to Friday 08:30hrs - 17:30hrs and offered as a fully remote role however we would like you come into the Cambridge office (CB22 3EG) 1 day a month for team meetings and planning sessions.
This is a UK based role and the right to live and work in the UK will need to be established during the recruitment process. Please note we are not currently a Home Office visa sponsorship licence holder.
