The Tech and Ops Data Management & BI Reporting Analyst Officer will play a critical role supporting all aspects of the Tech and Ops (T&O) Management team.  The position assists with a wide array of metrics, metrics inventory and status, creating and testing documentation, as well as assisting creating metrics dashboards. As a Data Management & BI Reporting Analyst within the COO BI Reporting Team, you will have a significant opportunity to work across the firm to help drive results, support strategic execution, improve processes, foster collaboration and alignment, and achieve more efficient operational performance.

This team is focused on a centralized data-driven management information system that covers the entire Tech and Ops organization.  Thus, this role will be involved in the identification and implementation of key metrics, reports, and dashboards that provide visibility, insights, and accountability, and inform our strategy and operations with audiences ranging from daily operational teams to the State Street Leadership Teams. The team also works to identify central processing and calculations working alongside colleagues throughout the organization to ensure data quality is consistent across all reporting.

The individual will also possess a high level of personal and professional integrity and sound judgment.  This Officer must possess strong organizational skills with astute attention to detail and have the ability to manage multiple workstreams or deliverables at once.

What you are responsible for

  • Working with various leaders, develop Tech and Ops data and reporting, including identifying key metrics, leading versus lagging indicators, key performance indicators and key risk indicators, and thresholds for further escalation. 

  • Creating, facilitating and iterating such regular reporting on daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual cadences.  Anticipate upcoming reporting requirements, be responsive to on-going feedback, and actively seek out enhancements based on improved data and functionality when available

  • Developing and managing relationships with key stakeholders across the Tech and Ops organization to provide support on reporting development and BAU processes

  • Identifying opportunities to streamline reporting across the Tech and Ops organization

  • Identifying and integrating new applications/tools/processes to enhance the efficiency and engagement around reporting dashboards

  • Serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and thought leader on Business Intelligence reporting across State Street

 Education and Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Advanced capabilities in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word, including experience with analyzing, comparing, and organizing data for management insights

  • Preferred

    • 2+ years of experience with data reporting tools, e.g., Tableau, PowerBI, etc.

    • Knowledge of SQL, Python, and Database Design preferred, as well as knowledge of data visualization techniques and dashboard design

  • Highly collaborative work style and ability to effectively work with leaders who have a range of management styles

  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to simultaneously manage a wide range of activities

  • Sound judgment with regards to matters of significance

  • Motivated team player with a great sense of humor

Salary Range:

$70,000 - $115,000 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
