About this opportunity
Welcome to AWM COO in the Application Portfolio and Data Management team. You’ll join AWM COO, a professional, fun and collaborative unit striving to “make it happen” – delivering excellence through tangible results. You will play a valuable role in identifying, defining and diagnosing data issues in addition to supporting Data Owners in best practices in the implementation of data governance and data quality management.
What you’ll be doing:
- Work closely together with Data Owners and Data Experts in order to bring their data assets under governance. You will provide support ranging from the practical implementation of data governance to communicating our data governance framework and data strategy
- Drive the data quality of AWM data. This includes the implementation and monitoring of data quality controls and data quality measurements in operational business processes
- Be one of the main responsible people for driving and implementing data governance in Nordea and work closely with our data steward on an operational level
- Be responsible for monitoring the effectiveness of data governance implementations in ‘Business as Usual’, which includes reviewing monthly data quality reporting and supporting the business in resolving data quality issues
The role is based in Helsinki, Stockholm, or Copenhagen.

To succeed in this role, we believe that you are/have:

- Strong collaboration skills and stakeholder management; and the ability to translate, operationalize and communicate theoretical data governance terms and concepts to the Data Owners
- Hands-on and have personal drive for results combined with an ability to plan own and others' work involved in implementing data governance and connected with this to identify, define, and solve data quality issues to meet agreed deadlines
- Operational and have a strong drive and the ability to see what needs to be done, both in the short and long term, with a solution-oriented mindset
- Good analytics skills and a structured and methodical approach to tasks
- The ability to take both a high-level view and to pay attention to details
- Good English skills, both written and spoken
Your experience and background:
- You have a minimum of 2 years relevant experience working with data in business or data governance related role
- Experience with operational data management preferred. This could include hands on experience as financial or risk controller, or in a back-office role
- Experience working with data and data models preferred
- Knowledge of savings products and business model is an advantage
