Summary

Come join our growing team today, supporting our C5ISR Business Group! HII-Mission Technologies is currently seeking a skilled Qlik Application Developer, who will support refining a centralized data environment (CDE) with impact across DoD! Key functionality for this position contributes toward auditable financial transaction data, and building a common operating picture for leadership.

A successful candidate will be well-versed in Python, relational database (SQL), has strong written/oral communications, and can work as part of a team providing productive input toward solving challenging problems. Team members must be able to internalize and appreciate strategic requirements, to best align the most meaningful data to decision makers- getting the right data to the right people! This position will also include a hybrid work schedule, including telework!

What you will do

• Research, design, develop, and/or modify enterprise-wide systems and/or applications software.
• Will be involved in planning of system and development deployment as well as responsible for meeting software compliance standards.
• Evaluate interface between hardware and software, operational requirements, and characteristics of overall system.
• Documents testing and maintenance of system corrections
• Focus areas:
  • Dashboard development using data analytics & visualization, with emphasis on data-driven business intelligence
  • User Interface (UI) design
  • Interface with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them to actionable development goals
  • Connect to data sources
  • Basic data transformation, such as creating calculated fields or simple expressions
• Additional duties as assigned or required. 

What we are looking for

• 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
• Relational Database development (SQL) experience.
• Experience with Python libraries for data manipulation.
• Proficiency in creating scripts, calculated fields, and expressions to create dynamic dashboards.
• Robust data model creation and management.
• Creating and managing scheduled jobs and automation.
• Data Visualization and business intelligence experience (Tableau, Qlik, or PowerBI).
• Experience developing in DataBricks or similar notebook-style data warehouse platform.
• Understanding of ETL with various disparate data sources and systems.
• Clearance: Must possess and maintain a Secret clearance. 

Bonus points for...

• 5+ years Relational Database development (SQL).
• 5+ years Data Visualization and business intelligence experience (Tableau, Qlik, or PowerBI).
• Understanding of Advana DataBricks' Gold/Silver/Bronze data zones.
• Experience with AWS workspace.
• Domain knowledge of data sources and reports, and their stakeholders.
• Experience working with a team of developers in an Agile environment (JIRA or similar).
• Ability to understand the transactional nature of the data being reviewed.
• Experience with FMS.
• Qlik Sense or DataBricks Certifications.
• CSSLP Certification.
• Security+ Certification.

Physical Requirements

• Job performance requires adequate visual acuity and manual dexterity for meeting the requirements of the generic systems analyst discipline.
• Office work environment normally encountered.
