Lead Data Engineer - Pune - C12

This is a lead developer role in a fast-paced technology delivery organization supporting regulatory compliance. This position is part of AML Monitoring Technology team and will be working with framework lead in key framework component development, solution designing and code quality improvement in close coordination with AML solution development teams, project managers, architecture teams and other stakeholders. In addition to that she/he is also responsible for performing day-to-day support activities to ensure smooth functioning of the AML Monitoring applications.

Responsibilities:

•Contribute to full development life cycle, including: requirements analysis, functional design, technical design, programming, testing, documentation, implementation, and on-going technical support.
•Experience in designing and Software development with strong focus on Big Data and Hadoop.
•Hands on in Big Data ecosystems like Spark, Hive, HDFC, Map Reduce, sqoop
•Well versed in Python/scala programming
•Well versed in complex Hive QL, Spark QL using analytical functions
•Should be well versed in relational databases especially oracle PL-SQL and shell scripting.
•Translate business needs (BRD) into effective technical solutions and documents (FRD/TSD/MDD/ERD)
•Experience in fine tuning applications written in Spark and Hive to improve the overall performance.
•Should support code review and unit testing for the Product.
•Should establish data quality rules based on business inputs and simulate it on framework
•Should take ownership of projects and be able to run with them independently
•Ability and willingness to learn newer tools

Qualifications:

•At least 6 years of Application development experience through full lifecycle
•Strong Software Development Lifecycle management experience.
•Strong experience in Data Modeling, Data Analytics, Big Data Ecosystem.
•Strong knowledge and hands on experience in Hadoop, Hive, Hive, Spark, Sqoop.

•Good Exposure on Python/Scala
•Experience with Oracle Database,SQL skills
•Good knowledge of Linux/Unix
•Cloud exposure preferred.
•Strong knowledge and experience in data quality/assessment and troubleshooting data related issues.

Education:Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience

•Good communications skills
•Team player and self-motivator
•Candidate should be willing to work late in the evening India time on need basis in order to interact with US onshore team and to meet urgent requests by Clients.
•Act as advisor or coach to new or lower level analysts.
•Strong influencing & interpersonal skills.
