We are currently seeking a Junior Data Engineer to contribute to the quality and integrity of our database operations. This entry-level role will play a pivotal part in maintaining, enriching, and processing data to support our mutual funds, private assets, and separate accounts solutions. Responsibilities:
Maintain and populate SQL databases with accurate mutual funds, private assets, and separate accounts data.
Utilize ETL tools like Alteryx to efficiently process large datasets.
Research official websites and documents to confirm or enhance database content and accuracy.
Perform quarterly data validation checks to ensure consistency and compliance across stored data.
Support the implementation of new projects in alignment with the GMI Modules product roadmap and client specifications.
Collaborate closely with diverse data providers to ensure timely contributions and uphold data quality.
Provide ongoing support for client requests and operational improvements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Data Analytics, or Economics) or equivalent work experience.
Strong numerical aptitude with exceptional attention to detail.
Proficiency in Excel and basic to intermediate knowledge of SQL.
Familiarity with data integration tools, such as Alteryx or other ETL platforms, is preferred.
Background knowledge of the funds industry, economics, or finance is an added advantage.
Effective organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
Good written and verbal communication skills, with a professional working proficiency in English.
Ability to independently research and synthesize information from various sources.
