Junior Data Engineer

We are currently seeking a Junior Data Engineer to contribute to the quality and integrity of our database operations. This entry-level role will play a pivotal part in maintaining, enriching, and processing data to support our mutual funds, private assets, and separate accounts solutions. Responsibilities:

• Maintain and populate SQL databases with accurate mutual funds, private assets, and separate accounts data.

• Utilize ETL tools like Alteryx to efficiently process large datasets.

• Research official websites and documents to confirm or enhance database content and accuracy.

• Perform quarterly data validation checks to ensure consistency and compliance across stored data.

• Support the implementation of new projects in alignment with the GMI Modules product roadmap and client specifications.

• Collaborate closely with diverse data providers to ensure timely contributions and uphold data quality.

• Provide ongoing support for client requests and operational improvements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Data Analytics, or Economics) or equivalent work experience.

• Strong numerical aptitude with exceptional attention to detail.

• Proficiency in Excel and basic to intermediate knowledge of SQL.

• Familiarity with data integration tools, such as Alteryx or other ETL platforms, is preferred.

• Background knowledge of the funds industry, economics, or finance is an added advantage.

• Effective organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

• Good written and verbal communication skills, with a professional working proficiency in English.

• Ability to independently research and synthesize information from various sources.
