Job Description
The Red Gate Group is seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our team and support the mission of the Office of the Assistant to the Secretary of Defense for Privacy, Civil Liberties, and Transparency (OATSD(PCLT)). This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to critical Department of Defense (DoD) initiatives that ensure privacy, civil liberties, and transparency are maintained across diverse missions and programs.
As a Data Scientist, you will play a pivotal role in leveraging data analytics to address complex challenges in privacy policy compliance, risk management, and emerging technologies. Your expertise will directly support efforts to enhance governance, promote enterprise risk management, and advance compliance with privacy and data protection standards across the DoD.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Analytics & Insights: Conduct advanced data analysis to support privacy policy compliance, cybersecurity frameworks, and risk management initiatives. Develop algorithms and workflows to analyze and mitigate privacy risks, including those related to emerging technologies and mobile systems.
- Policy & Program Management: Assist in the development, implementation, and assessment of privacy policies, procedures, and training programs. Provide insights to measure policy effectiveness and support organizational transformation efforts.
- Technical Consultation: Provide expert advice on privacy compliance, records management, and data protection strategies. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure integration of privacy requirements into the DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF).
- Training & Communication: Develop and deliver educational materials, training programs, and multimedia content to promote privacy awareness and compliance. Support communication planning and stakeholder engagement.
- Records Management: Maintain and improve filing systems in compliance with federal laws, DoD policies, and OATSD(PCLT) standards.
Qualifications
- Education: Master’s degree in data science, computer science, or a related field with exposure to data analytics.
- Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in data analysis, algorithm development, and designing data systems for business workflows.
- Proven ability to analyze complex datasets to inform decision-making.
- Clearance: Active Top Secret Clearance.
