Business Analyst

The Role
We’re looking for an enthusiastic individual with a passion for problem-solving, data and visualisations. The ideal candidate is curious, inquisitive and has a craving to continuously learn and develop. While in this role, you will have opportunities to impact the business performance. You will be the main point of contact assisting the business getting answers on any data related information or reports required. To succeed in this role, you need to be able to translate the request into meaningful information as well as initiate data visualisations to automate recurring requests.

What You'll Do

Responsibilities:

• Data Extraction & Analysis: Address ad-hoc data requests by pulling player and game-related data using SQL Server based on specified conditions and providing actionable insights.
• SQL Query Development: Write, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL queries for efficient data retrieval from large datasets in SQL Server.
• Reporting & Visualization: Use Power BI to create dynamic reports and dashboards that effectively communicate data insights to various departments.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with product, marketing, compliance, and customer support teams to gather data requirements and deliver timely insights.
• Data Integrity: Uphold data accuracy and integrity, adhering to company standards and validating data sources regularly.
• Continuous Improvement: Propose and implement process improvements to streamline data retrieval and analysis workflows and contribute to developing best practices in data analysis.

What We're Looking For

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Statistics, economics or a related field.
• Experience: 2+ years in a data analysis role, ideally within the gaming or online services industry.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in SQL Server (complex query development and optimization experience required) +2 years
  • Strong skills in Power BI for data visualization
  • Familiarity with Jira or similar ticketing systems
  • Python – advantage
• Soft Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of translating technical data into clear insights
  • Ability to manage multiple requests in a fast-paced environment and prioritize effectively
