JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The Department of Public Health Sciences at Penn State College of Medicine, in Hershey, PA, and the Chiu Lab are seeking a full-time data analyst with strong administrative and programming skills to join the research team. Our focus is on developing and applying causal inference methods for pregnancy and cardiovascular health. Requirements:
Proficiency in programming languages including SAS and R.
Bachelor’s degree in statistics, epidemiology, public health or closely related field. Master’s degree preferred.
Experience in creating analytic files and conducting statistical analysis
Responsibilities:
Data cleaning, data management, variable creation for projects involving health administrative data and longitudinal cohorts.
Develop analytic databases using SAR or R
Work with investigators to prepare presentation or reports on studies procedures and results

Minimum Education & Experience:
Bachelor's Degree
1+ years of relevant experience
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
This is a limited-term position funded for one year from date of hire, with possibility of refunding.

- Pennsylvania Child Abuse History
- Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Criminal Background Check

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades is:
$51,000.00 - $74,000.00Salary Structure - additional information on Penn State's job and salary structure.
