Software Delivery Manager

Working closely with other teams across Medtronic, we are creating a connected ecosystem and leveraging the state of the art in computer vision to provide the most comprehensive view of surgery. As a Software Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating the work of the software development team, verifying software processes are followed, and ensuring all aspects of the release are planned and executed smoothly. You will be responsible for managing the delivery roadmap, collaborating with relevant stakeholders as needed to deliver the best possible product. You will own the release process for the team and keep an eye out for opportunities for improvement. We’re looking for someone with great communication skills and with experience in successfully developing and delivering software projects.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

• Collaborate with product owners, stakeholders, and development teams to define and manage the delivery roadmap
• Facilitate and participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to ensure smooth project execution
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and effective communication throughout the development lifecycle
• Track and report on project progress, identifying and addressing any risks or issues that may impact delivery timelines
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the team to enhance productivity, quality, and overall project delivery
• Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns or feedback promptly
   

Required Knowledge and Experience:

• Proven experience in software delivery management, with a strong understanding of agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
• Strong level of expertise with JIRA, leveraging its advanced features for project management with visual timelines, streamlined planning, and real-time progress tracking functionality.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Solid understanding of software development processes, tools, and technologies
• Previous software development experience, preferably with one of C, C++, or Python, and preferably in an embedded system environment

Experience working on medical device software projects or similar regulated domains is preferred.
