The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in advanced analytics & AI, great leadership abilities, and a passion for driving innovation through data-driven solutions. You will play a critical role in shaping our Advanced analytics & AI digital strategy with a focus on commercial performance analytics & insights, implementing best practices, and driving strategic initiatives to ensure the reliability, scalability – continuously improving & challenging the status quo.

As Senior Advanced Analytics Analyst - AI​ you’ll be a part of the Digital Product team.  .

Sanofi has recently embarked into a vast and ambitious digital transformation program. A cornerstone of this roadmap is the acceleration of its data transformation and of the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) solutions, to accelerate R&D, manufacturing and commercial performance and bring better drugs and vaccines to patients faster, to improve health and save lives. 

Main responsibilities:

  • As a data champion, look to implement analytical models on data sets to uncover insights 

  • Validate business requirements, defining global standards for data models, key performance indicators and measures, then implementing the global standards within our products for business units and markets 

  • Create and implement repeatable analytics models  

  • Tell a story with data, hosting co-creation sessions to ensure needs are well understood and features are well articulated, producing mock-ups as required to quickly iterate on user feedback 

  • Understand the data landscape that enables the enterprise solutions, with the ability to align on global standards across multiple stakeholder groups 

  • A critical and analytical thinker, and a creative problem solver who can navigate difficult discussions and ambiguity to arrive at design solutions 

  • Understand and implement enterprise data governance, data architecture and data management standards 

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand the business requirements, translating them to data, analytics and AI capabilities 

  • Partner with Product Owners and Scrum Masters and be able to work in agile pods 

  • Partner with Data Engineers and Data scientists to create data products 

About You

Key Functional Requirements & Qualifications:

  • 5-10 year experience in advanced analytics & AI preferably with experience in data and AI systems/platforms with a focus on patient analytics

  • Strong knowledge working within an Agile environment 

  • Strong knowledge deploying analytical models using software development tools like GitHub 

  • Interest in healthcare and pharmaceutical data

  • Experience in data visualization and analytics solutions deployment in patient advanced analytics & AI scope

  • Experience in building data pipelines with data quality metrics in place with a focus on patient analytics

Key Technical Requirements & Qualifications:

  • A university/college degree graduate in disciplines of engineering, computer science, mathematics, data science or, business administration, retail management, marketing or related fields, MBA a plus

  • Strong technical knowledge in building analytical models, using scripting languages like python, and querying languages like SQL is preferred

  • Knowledge of data discovery tools like Informatica DQ, Axon is preferred 

  • Knowledge of data platform tools like Snowflake and cloud platforms such as AWS 

  • Strong statistical background
