Corporate Treasury lies at the heart of Goldman Sachs, ensuring all the businesses have the appropriate level of funding to conduct their activities, while also optimizing the firm’s liquidity, managing its risk, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Our Corporate Treasury engineers are global leaders in developing quantitative techniques and technological solutions that solve complex and commercial business problems. We partner with our firm’s treasurer and other members of Corporate Treasury senior leadership to manage the firm’s liquidity risk, secured and unsecured funding programs, and the level and composition of consolidated and subsidiary equity capital and to invest any excess liquidity. An exciting confluence of computer science, finance and mathematics are being used to solve for what our shareholders would like from us – a high return for the right risk taken.

Within Corporate Treasury, GS Bank Engineering team is responsible for supporting various Cross Product functions. This includes Cross Product Regulatory Controls, Centralized Loan Pledge Platform, Third-Party Deposit Sweep Platform, and FDIC Deposit Insurance Calculator. A constantly evolving business and regulatory environment demands ongoing innovation to maintain scalable solutions in a changing world.

We use the latest tech stack including MongoDb, Kafka, Spring Boot micro services, Kubernetes, and are constantly looking to use modern technology to solve business problems.

How You Will Fulfill Your Potential

In this role, you will gain unique insight into the firm’s business activities and asset strategy. You will be responsible for defining & developing software to analyze data, building metric calculators & automated tools to help the business gain insights from the data, predicting scenarios, and enabling efficient decision making to reduce interest expenses. Our front to back model provides our engineers visibility into all aspects of CT planning and execution while working on cutting edge industrial technologies.

Who We Look For

Basic Qualifications

• B.S. or higher in Computer Science (or equivalent work experience).
• 10 – 15 years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience in software development, including a clear understanding of data structures, algorithms, software design and core programming concepts. 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills – demonstrated ability to learn and apply technologies. 
• Comfortable multi-tasking, managing multiple stakeholders, and working as part of a team.  
• Excellent communication skills, including experience speaking to global technical and business audiences. 
• Able to apply an entrepreneurial approach and passion to problem solving and product development. 

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong programming experience in at least one compiled language such as Java or Python.
• Familiarity with financial markets, financial assets, and liquidity management.
• Experience in designing highly scalable, efficient systems.
• Web technology design experience.
• Experience with Kubernetes.
• Experience with AWS.
