Responsibilities:
- Vast Experience in Data Engineering: You’ve mastered traditional on-premise Data Warehouse environments and successfully transitioned those learnings to cloud-native use cases, particularly Data Lakehouse architectures powered by Azure Databricks.
- Advanced Data Modelling & Governance Expertise: From designing role-based access controls to implementing data quality measures, security frameworks, compliance standards, you are a trusted authority in ensuring data remains a valuable, well-governed asset.
- Cloud and Infrastructure Savvy: You understand the fundamentals of the Azure platform, Databricks infrastructure, and are adept at leveraging infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform) for deploying scalable, reliable data systems.
- Leadership & Mentorship Skills: As a natural leader, you’re comfortable guiding junior and senior engineers, developers, and data scientists on best practices. You inspire confidence and foster a collaborative, innovative environment that allows teams to thrive.
- CI/CD and DataOps Excellence: With deep expertise in CI/CD pipelines, release management, you ensure that data systems are not just functional but also agile, efficient, and optimized for modern DataOps / MLOps principles.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: You excel at bringing together technical teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors to craft solutions that meet diverse needs. Your communication and documentation skills make you a valuable bridge between the technical and business worlds.
Requirements

- 6+ years of experience in data architecture, platform architecture, or related roles
- Proficiency in the English and German languages is required
