To find out more about our journey click here.   Your Next Challenge    The Data Analyst role at Moneycorp is a crucial position within the newly established team responsible for transitioning support from the Skunk team to IT operations. This role involves analysing data to identify trends, insights, and areas for improvement within the support functions being integrated into IT operations. The Data Analyst will work closely with the Senior Data Scientist and other team members to ensure that data-driven decisions are made throughout the transition process. The Data Analyst will be responsible for collecting, processing, and analysing data related to support functions, ensuring that all relevant information is accurately documented and accessible. They will develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track the progress of the transition and highlight any issues or areas that require attention. By providing actionable insights, the Data Analyst will help prioritise tasks and ensure that the most critical support functions are addressed first. In addition to their analytical duties, the Data Analyst will collaborate with both the Skunk team and IT operations to ensure a smooth handover of responsibilities. They will also contribute to the continuous improvement of support processes by identifying opportunities for optimisation and implementing best practices. This role requires experience with Alteryx and Alteryx Server, Tableau, and an understanding of BI requirements. Proficiency in SQL Server and Store Procedures is essential for effective data management. Knowledge of Azure Functions will extend capabilities for cloud-based applications, and an understanding of Central Bank processes and systems is a bonus for projects related to financial technology. This role offers a unique opportunity to play a key part in shaping the future of IT support at Moneycorp, leveraging data to drive efficiency and effectiveness in a dynamic and supportive environment. Role Responsibilities:
  • Support Transition: Assist in identifying and prioritising support functions to be transitioned from the Labs function to IT service.
  • Team Leadership: Collaborate with the Senior Data Scientist and Data Scientist to aid in the establishment of the new team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Documentation: Ensure comprehensive documentation of all processes, systems, and support functions to facilitate knowledge transfer and operational continuity.
  • Data Analysis: Collect, process, and analyse data related to support functions, providing actionable insights to guide the transition process.
  • Technical Expertise: Utilise experience with Alteryx, Alteryx Server and Python for data preparation, blending, and advanced analytics. Automate workflows and manage data processes to support the transition.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with both the Labs function and IT Operations to ensure alignment and smooth handover of responsibilities.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance support efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Support: Maintain and support applications by reacting to problems and correcting the functionality as necessary. 
Knowledge and Experience:
  • Proven experience of delivering high quality, unit tested software in a timely manner.
  • Experience of delivering software within a commercial environment.
  • Practical experience of applying appropriate design patterns and principles
  • FX and Financial knowledge – desirable
  • Exposure to financial systems - desirable  
 Technical Skills:
  • Exposure to Cloud fundamentals, Azure, and practical exposure to Azure DevOps.
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and their implementation.
