- Partner with senior executives to align data initiatives with the company’s strategic goals, ensuring data assets drive clinical, operational, and financial improvements.
- Build and lead a high-performing data team, including data scientists, data engineers, and analysts, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation
Data Governance & Compliance
- Establish and enforce robust data governance policies, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and security.
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements, including HIPAA, CMS guidelines, and other relevant standards for managing sensitive health data.
- Ensure proper stewardship of data related to members, providers, and claims to uphold trust and integrity.
Analytics & Insights
- Oversee the development of advanced analytics, predictive models, and dashboards that provide actionable insights for improving quality of care and reducing costs.
- Drive data initiatives to support key value-based care metrics such as HEDIS, STAR ratings, risk score optimization, and utilization trends.
- Leverage data to identify opportunities for reducing medical costs, improving member engagement, and enhancing provider performance.
Technology & Infrastructure
- Lead the development and management of scalable data platforms and infrastructure, leveraging modern technologies such as cloud computing, data lakes, and real-time analytics.
- Ensure seamless integration of disparate data sources, including electronic health records (EHRs), claims, member demographics, and social determinants of health (SDOH).
- Evaluate and implement data tools and technologies that support the organization’s goals and value-based care strategies.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with clinical, operational, and financial teams to translate business needs into data-driven solutions.
- Provide leadership and support for data-driven initiatives such as risk stratification, care gap identification, and contract performance evaluation.
- Act as a strategic advisor to executive leadership, presenting insights and recommendations derived from data.
Innovation & Thought Leadership
- Stay abreast of trends and advancements in data science, healthcare analytics, and value-based care.
- Champion the use of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) to support innovative care delivery and operational efficiencies.
- Represent the organization in industry forums, conferences, and partnerships as a thought leader in healthcare data and analytics.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Healthcare Administration, or related field (Master’s or Ph.D. preferred).
- 12+ years of experience in data analytics, data management, or related roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.
- Strong background in healthcare data, including claims, clinical data, and SDOH, with experience in value-based care or managed care organizations.
Skills & Competencies
- Expertise in data architecture, governance, and analytics frameworks.
- Advanced understanding of healthcare regulatory requirements and value-based care metrics (e.g., HEDIS, STAR, ACO benchmarks).
- Proficiency with data visualization and analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, SQL, Python, R).
- Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale data transformation projects and manage cross-functional teams.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate complex concepts effectively to diverse stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with payers, providers, or Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs).
- Knowledge of risk adjustment methodologies and financial modeling in healthcare.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and big data technologies.

- This position is remotely based in the U.S.
- The compensation target pay range for this role is: $250,000 - $300,000. The salary range represents our national target range for this role.
