Primary Duties

1. Executes existing machine learning models in support of daily operations, long-term planning, and forecasting efforts. Reconciles actual and anticipated outcomes to identify discrepancies. Analyzes discrepancies by each component to isolate issues and enable continuous improvement.

2. Modifies existing plans and forecasts as necessary. Communicates adjustments to appropriate personnel. Identifies new data that could enhance the quality and accuracy of models to improve predictions.

3. Assesses the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques. Applies statistical and analytical methods to identify trends and dependencies. Generates operational insights and may make recommendations for addressing areas of opportunity.

4. Supports initiatives for data integrity and normalization. Utilizes various database platforms to collect data and complete the ad-hoc/root cause analysis of complex issues.

5. Participates in the development of reports. Presents information in a clear, consumable manner using data visualization tools and techniques.

6. Stays abreast of emerging and evolving data tools and technology.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Educational/Experience Level
Bachelor's degree in MIS / Data Analytics, mathematics, engineering, statistics, or a related field and 1 year of relevant experience. Strong mathematical background with the ability to perform analysis involving statistical methods and regression analysis.

Preferred Skills
Knowledge of statistical computer language, data visualization and business intelligence tools.

Communication Skills
Requires the ability to communicate with internal and/or external customers in order to obtain and/or provide explanations and/or information on technical concepts to individuals with limited experience in or knowledge of the technical area.

Numeric Skills
Requires the ability to perform analyses involving ratios, percentages and simple statistical methods.

Computer Skills
Requires working knowledge of various software applications to create and maintain documents, reports, spreadsheets, and/or graphics.

WORK CONDITIONS:
Works in an indoor environment. Requires occasionally performing activities including, but not limited to, bending, stooping, grasping, reaching, twisting, turning and/or lifting.
