Applied Deep Learning Research Intern
Finland, Helsinki
NVIDIA
NVIDIA erfindet den Grafikprozessor und fördert Fortschritte in den Bereichen KI, HPC, Gaming, kreatives Design, autonome Fahrzeuge und Robotik. You know how the attention mechanism in transformers works and at the same time can juggle around inodes and regexes, you have crafted your own custom neural network layers but also know how a docker image is composed of file system layers? This could be the right job for you!
We are looking for highly motivated intern candidates, passionate about the latest AI technologies revolutionizing computer vision, language models and computer graphics. We belong to an international team - distributed across Finland, Germany, Switzerland and the USA - whose engineers and scientists pioneered the DLSS, Megatron and NVLM projects at NVIDIA.
Join us to shape the future of next-generation real-time graphics by exploring innovative applications of deep learning. Work directly on advancing large multi-modal language models (LLMs) or contribute by generating high-quality training data to push their boundaries. If you agree with us that the most exciting thing about the Deep Learning revolution is applying it to tackle real-life problems, this team will be a perfect fit. While being a research group, for us, delivering value has a higher priority than novelty. Join us to invent the future of our company!
What you will be doing:
Apply Deep Learning to solve concrete product-related problems. We are building the future of computer graphics, multi-modal LLMs, autonomous driving, generative AI and many other applications. The specific topic will be decided factoring your own interests and our business needs
Work with large task-specific datasets. Those can be based on real or synthetic images and videos, and include multiple modalities
Collaborate globally with other team members as well as researchers and developers from different departments at NVIDIA
What we need to see:
You are a MSc or PhD student in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering or related field, with courses followed in the area of machine learning, Deep Learning, probability theory or statistical signal processing, algorithms and scored as a top performer
A strong interest in AI and experience with one or ideally both:
Deep learning research or applied research in computer vision, and you are aware of the latest academic developments in the field
Computer graphics and real-time rendering, e.g. engine development, ray tracing/path tracing and image reconstruction
Hands-on coding skills with PyTorch, Python, C/C++ and Linux bash scripting expertise
An outstanding teammate, proficient in English with excellent social skills
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
An academic track record and publications
You have worked with multi-modal LLMs
Knowledge of CUDA programming
Any AI-related projects which you can present to us
