The GE HealthCare Ultrasound business consists of ultrasound consoles, handheld ultrasound devices, and ultrasound IT solutions across 5 different market segments. There is a strong emphasis on development of AI solutions for our ultrasound products so we can create additional value for customers and patients. We aim to grow our offerings via organic as well as inorganic developments.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Ingest, curate, clean, and prepare datasets to support the production, testing, and validation of machine learning models;
- Build data systems and pipelines to enhance data quality, traceability, and reliability;
- Maintain and extend processes and systems for managing, curating, and processing medical image data;
- Develop, support, and enhance internal tools and services;
- Produce and maintain project documentation;
- Utilize tracking sheets, process documents, issue trackers, and other organizational systems as directed by management and the Quality Management System;
- Collaborate with members of the development and medical teams to support project activities.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor or Master's Degree in a STEM discipline;
- Relevant experience in software development or data engineering;
- Excellent programming and software engineering skills, with a focus on data engineering;
- Proficiency in Python and SQL.

- Proactive team player who enjoys working independently.
- Practical experience managing large volumes of data from complex real-world problems in a commercial setting.
- Experience in managing small teams.
- Knowledge of designing, building, and maintaining efficient and robust data architectures.
- Ability to apply software engineering methodologies to complex real-world problems.
- Experience in medical imaging, ideally ultrasound.
- Background in BI/reporting.
- Familiarity with NoSQL, Hadoop, or Spark.
- Experience with development under ISO13485.
